Our private label custom furniture line is named after the Powell Home mascots, Freddie and Murphy. Construction Story
- One piece integral legs are standard on all frames where possible
- Frames are 5/4" solid kiln dried hardwood and hardwood laminates
- Frame within a frame construction for strength and durability
- The frame is additionally reinforced by a proprietary spring unit that’s made with 1/2" angle iron perimeter rails and utilizes 1" tubular stretchers front to back to eliminate squeaking and twisting of the frame.
- Springs are tightly spaced 8.5 gauge sinuous wires that are attached to the angle iron perimeter relieving stress on the frame. The springs are then cross-tied across the deck for added support and comfort.
- Sinuous wires are used in the backs for support.
- All rails are double-doweled, glued and corner blocked, which ensures that the frame will be structurally sound.
